Warriors take on Cavaliers in fourth consecutive NBA Finals after epic game seven against Rockets

Stephen Curry has shot the lights out and produced a game seven for the ages to inspire Golden State to another NBA Finals appearance - as Houston suffered a stunning meltdown.

Curry finished with 27 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists in a devastating display as the Warriors won 101-92 in a gripping contest.

The victory sealed a 4-3 series win and booked a fourth consecutive Finals appearance for the Warriors - who will again meet LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Rockets produced an exceptional first half and held an 11-point lead at the break before Curry erupted in the third quarter to turn the match on its head.

After a quiet opening half, Curry had 14 points in the third quarter - won 33-15 by the visitors - as the Warriors turned an 11-point deficit into an eight-point advantage.

That sucked the air out of the building in Houston, and the Rockets never recovered.

Warriors star Kevin Durant led all scorers with 34 points, while James Harden was the Rockets' best with 32.

The home side was well supported by centre Clint Capela, who was the catalyst for their first-half lead. He finished with 20 points and nine assists but was kept quiet after the break.

The Warriors will host game one of the Finals, which will tip off at 1pm (NZT).
