Son of NBA great signs with Breakers

The Breakers have signed a replacement for Ben Woodside.

Respected website Eurobasket says the Australian basketball league club has lured American David Stockton from a team in Zagreb.

Stockton played three NBA games last year for the Sacramento Kings.

Stockton is the sun of NBA Hall of Famer John Stockton, who had a 19 year career with the Utah Jazz.

The Breakers have not yet confirmed Stockton's signing or whether he will arrive for Friday's game against the Cairns Taipans.

Woodside will miss six to eight weeks with a foot injury.
