Portland Trail Blazers fans partake in the worst game of tic-tac-toe ever

While Portland won their game, two fans suffered a massive loss.

While the Portland Trail Blazers were able to edge out the Charlotte Hornets yesterday, the game was stolen by two fans in attendance.

During one of the breaks at the game, two Portland fans were asked to take part in a game of basketball-related tic-tac-toe.

In the game, contestants had to make a layup before running to halfcourt with a cross or a nought and place them in a square on the board.

The first contestant to line up three-in-a-row wins.

You'd think the instructions for the game were easy, but it was anything-but in the case of the participants.

Watching you might not be surprised to see them miss a layup or two but that they would know how to win the game.

Except, they didn't.

Missing their first few attempts, the commentator started to question if they would be able to make any.

Once they started to make them, instead of tactfully placing their objects around the board they randomly filled it up, frustrating those watching on.

One competitor came close as she managed to get two-in-a-row, but instead of winning the game she decided to block off her opponent.

The crowd and commentator get increasingly uneasy as they watch on laughing before one of them finally manages three-in-a-row.

"There it is. One, two, three - to put us all out of our misery," the commentator said.

The footage has since made its way onto social media, with thousands reacting to the game.

"Tic tac no," one said, while another questioned the intelligence of Portland fans stating it was "painful to watch".
