NBA: Steven Adams grabs photo with Kiwi fans in New York

Oklahoma City Thunder big man Steven Adams has posted a photo on his Facebook page with two lucky New Zealand fans.

Adams spotted the Kiwi pair in the crowd at New York's Madison Square Garden and the trio got a picture together, captioned "Kiwis at MSG!".

Both fans were wearing matching Steven Adams jerseys and Oklahoma City Thunder woolen hats, accompanied by a big New Zealand flag.

The man in the photo, identified on Facebook as Marcus Tamati, commented on Adams' Facebook post and said "Cheers Steve. Made our night big time. You the real MVP".

"You the real MVP" is in reference to Adams' former teammate Kevin Durant who broke down in tears and called his mother "the real MVP" during his NBA Most Valuable Player Award acceptance speech in 2014.
