Basketball: Warriors in unfamiliar position for Game 5

The Golden State Warriors are in an unfamiliar position in the NBA playoffs after a record-breaking regular season.

The Warriors are trailing the Oklahoma City Thunder 3-1 in the best-of-seven game western conference finals.

Of the 232 NBA teams that have faced 3-1 series deficits, only nine have come back to win the series.

Golden State coach Steve Kerr says they simply have to win game five in Oakland today.

He say momentum can shift quickly, which they first need to gain today.

Kerr is confident Steph Curry will return to the form which saw him named the NBA's first unanimous MVP.

Curry struggled in game four of the western conference finals series against Oklahoma City, making just six of his 20 shots and missing 10 three-pointers.

Kerr says with the team down 3-1 in the best-of-seven series and needing to win today, it's these pressure situations when the cream rises to the top.

He says while Curry hasn't played well the last couple of games, he showed good form in game two so will just have to play through any issues.
