The Breakers' opponents tomorrow, the Wollongong Hawks, have signed a sharp-shooting Aussie forward with United States college experience.
Daniel George, who stands 2.09m and weighs in at 105kg, is expected to join them in Auckland.
The Breakers have never beaten the Hawks in seven starts and suffered a 99-85 dumping
in Wollongong early this season.
George adds to the threat they bring through Tall Black centre Tony Rampton and Boomers guard/forward Glen Saville.
George shot nearly 56 per cent from the field and averaged 19 points for Seton Hill University, Pittsburgh.
He was signed this week to replace Andrew Rice who is out with a broken bone in his foot.
The Breakers have no injury concerns ahead of the tip-off at 4.30pm.
