Basketball: Breakers win pre-season opener

The Breakers' ANBL pre-season campaign is off to a physical, yet winning start, with a 78-70 victory over the Wollongong Hawks in Hamilton.

Newest recruit Daryl Corletto says it took a while for things to gel.

He says they were shaky at the start but as the match wore on they got to know each other better.

Corletto says it didn't feel anything like a pre-season match.

Leon Henry top scored with 18 points.

The sides meet in a rematch in Tauranga tomorrow.
