Star import Casey Prather is daring to dream of winning back-to-back NBL titles after re-signing with the Perth Wildcats for another season.
Prather agreed to play on with the Wildcats after missing out on landing an NBA deal.
The 25-year-old averaged 11.6 points in five games for the Dallas Mavericks
during the recent NBA Summer League in Orlando.
He top-scored for the Mavs in their final game of the series with 23 points, but it wasn't enough to secure him a spot on their permanent roster.
Prather was named the Wildcats' MVP last season.
He averaged 16.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per game during the club's title-winning campaign.
Prather feels like he has improved during his recent stint in the NBA Summer League, and he hopes to play a key role in landing another Championship with Perth.
"I've been working hard throughout the off-season, trying to get better every day," Prather said.
"To win back-to-back championships with my Wildcats teammates would be amazing. I can't wait to get back to Perth."
Wildcats assistant coach and former Boomer Matt Nielsen said Prather's return was a key boost to the club's Championship hopes.
But while Prather is locked in for another season, the future of fellow import Jermaine Beal remains up in the air.
Beal struggled for consistency last season, and it's unclear whether the Wildcats will offer him a new deal.
Captain Damian Martin has already re-signed with the Wildcats, but centre Nate Jawai defected to Cairns in order to be closer to family.
