Basketball: Penney wins team MVP

Guard Kirk Penney claimed the top gong at the New Zealand Breakers awards dinner in Auckland.

Penney was named MVP and also fans player of the year.

CJ Bruton won club man of the year while Mika Vukona was named the players' player of the year.

Meanwhile, Breakers import Kevin Braswell is set to line up against some of his teammates in the NBL.

He's signed for the Southland Sharks.

The Breakers celebrate their ANBL title success with a parade through Auckland's CBD today at midday.
