Basketball: Drug suspension in NBA

Los Angeles Clippers forward Lamar Odom has been suspended for five games for violating the NBA's anti-drug policy.

It marked the second such suspension in less than eight months for the 22-year-old Clippers forward.

No other details of the violation were announced because the NBA and the Players Association are prohibited from disclosing information about any player in the substance abuse programme, other than to announce a suspension. The third-year pro was suspended for five games last March.
