There were six arrests, including that of a 19-year-old Massachusetts man, whose beer can missile struck Manager Alex Cora when the parade reached Copley Square. Cora and the team's security director pointed into the crowd and the man was quickly taken into custody.
"I love Cora, I didn't mean to hit him," Patrick Connolly said, according to the Boston Herald.
He was charged in Municipal Court with being a minor in possession of alcohol, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and being disorderly.
Others arrested, according to Boston.com: a 17-year-old man was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and possession with intent to distribute both Class B and D narcotics; Ben Carbonneau, 20, of New Hampshire, was charged with drinking in public; Nicholas San Antonio, 19, of Rhode Island, was charged with being a minor in possession of alcohol; Aliza Hacking, 19, and Santina Vanasse, 19, were charged with disturbing the peace
Still, some managed to celebrate the team's fourth Series title in 14 years a little more smoothly.
