The New Zealand badminton team showed the benefits of two months' training and competing in Europe by winning four out of five titles at the Frederikshavn tournament in Denmark.
Auckland sisters Nicole and Rebecca Gordon met each other in the final of the women's singles, with Rebecca showing her singles expertise
in a straight-sets win, 11-5, 11-0, over her older sibling.
The women's doubles was also an all-New Zealand affair, with Tammy Jenkins and Rhona Robertson beating Sara Runesten Petersen and Nicole Gordon 17-15, 16-17, 15-5.
In the mixed doubles, Daniel Shirley and Runesten Petersen defeating Craig Cooper and Jenkins, 15-6, 7-15, 15-10.
Waitakere's Nick Hall stunned New Zealand No 1 Geoff Bellingham in the men's singles with his first win over him for two years, but lost the final to Denmark's Soren Hansen 15-9, 15-6.
New Zealand's fourth title came in the men's doubles, courtesy of Shirley and John Gordon. The New Zealand team move to Birmingham next week to prepare for the All-England championships.
