Badminton: Kiwis win title

The New Zealand Northern No1 team has won the title for Australasian under-17 badminton supremacy with a victory over the Victoria Rebels in the June Bevan tournament in Ballarat.

The North team was led by Evan Lee (North Harbour) in the top singles and Riga Oud (Auckland) in doubles with Victoria Cheng (Lloyd Elsmore Club, Auckland) the leading woman. In the final the Northern team beat Victoria 10-6.
