Australia v India result: Third test drawn after bad light, rain stop play

With India bowled out early on the final day for 260 Australia had a chance to build an unassailable lead and put pressure on the Indian batters.

But inroads made by the Indian bowlers have meant Australia were forced to change tactic, declaring at 89/7 to set up the possibility of a result that had earlier not seemed possible.

India required 275 for victory, with a minimum of 53 overs to be bowled in the day before bad light and eventually rain brought an end to play with the match drawn.
