Young athletes' field of dreams

More than 1600 junior athletes took part in the 2010 NZ Junior Track and Field Colgate Games at Mt Smart Stadium from Friday to yesterday.

The games are the biggest junior track and field event in New Zealand and help build the next generation of New Zealand sporting stars.

Boys and girls competed in a variety of events from discus to high jump and running to hurdles.

Track stars and past junior competitors Nick Willis and Monique Williams were there to present the medals.
