Marion Jones reportedly failed drug test

WASHINGTON - Champion sprinter Marion Jones failed a drug test at the US national track championships in Indianapolis in June, according to the Washington Post, citing sources with knowledge of the test results.

The five-time Olympic medalist's 'A' sample tested positive for a banned performance enhancer at the event, The Post said on its website. A test on a 'B' sample had not been completed, the report said.

Jones would only face charges - and a two year ban from athletics - if the 'B' sample tested positive.
