AUCKLAND

Athletics Auckland Cross Country Grand Prix 4, Long Bay Regional Park - 24 June 2017

Jono Jackson made it three wins out of four in the Auckland Grand Prix Series with victory for the second year in a row in the 4km event in 12:43. Jackson was pushed hard in the combined race with the under 20 grade by Trent Dodds who finished 35 metres back in 12:50. Olympian triathlete Ryan Sissons was second in the seniors in 12:54 with Harry Linford third in 13:18. Andrew Catley was second in the juniors in 13:09 with Max Rawbone third making it a clean sweep for Pakuranga in the juniors. Sasha Daniels had to call on all his reserves to hold out Rob Creasy and Nick Moore in the masters 4km in 13:57.

Audrey Gregan won the womens 4km in 14:50 the same time as Penny Peskett in the masters 4km. Nicole Mitchell was second in the seniors in 15:11 with Alannah Van Hout third in 15:41. Fiona Love was second and Michelle Hopkins third in the masters. Ainsley Thorpe won the under 20 in 15:18, twenty seconds ahead of Maiya Christini.

Catrin Dawson won the U/18 2km in 7:28 while Alexander Hull led in the U/18 4km in 13:49.

Arabella White won the G15 2km in 7:17 and James Harding won the B15 2km in 6:58.

Winter Throws, AUT Millennium Stadium, North Shore - 24 June 2017

Anthony Nobilo 7.26kg HT 53.65m PB, 6kg HT 59.04m. Anthony Barmes 6kg HT 52.00m PB. Rizvan Caukwell 6kg HT 41.66m PB, 7.26kg HT 37.00m PB. Maria Naime U/20 4kg HT 38.68m PB, 3kg HT 45.56m PB. Mellata Tatola 3kg HT 47.01m, DT 39.41m. Luceanne Perks 4kg HT 34.40m, 3kg HT 36.66m.

Winter Series, Manawatu Community Athletic Track, Massey University - 25 June 2017

Zac Topping 100m 10.97 (+1.8). Liam Back 3000m 9:00.87. Jacob Aomarere-Poole HJ 1.80m. Nick Palmer 5kg SP 18.01m. Ranae Savill HJ 1.60m.

CHRISTCHURCH

Andrew Reese Memorial Relays, Woodend Beach Domain - 24 June 2017

University team of Chris Mardon, Thomas Anderson, Hayden Zervos and Shaun Souness was fastest in the senior 4 x 5km relay in 1:09:46. Christchurch Avon were second and Papanui Toc H third. Matt Dryden had the fastest lap of 15:44, with Sam Bell clocking 16:16. Sumner were the fastest master men in 1:10:52 with their team of Danny Carmine, Marty Lukes, Al Cory Wright and Shaun McWhirter. Mardon was the fastest master with 16:24 and McWhirter was next with 17:24.

University team of Angela Whyte, Natalie Dryden, Jean Kozyniak and Ariana Harper were the quickest in the senior women in 1:14:20, Kozyniak running 17:20.

Canterbury Tri Club were the fastest kin the master women in 1:39:38, Maggie Chorley the fastest master in 19:48.

Christchurch Boys High School fastest junior men in 1:13:10 and Port Hills the junior women in 1:19:08. Nathan Cochrane had the fastest lap of 17:00 and Liliana Braun in the junior women in 17:55. The fastest in the boys 2.5km Thomas Coleman in 8:11 and Lydia Robinson in the girls with 9:13.

GORE

Gore Handicap cross country, Hamilton Park - 24 June 2017

The 62nd running of the Gore handicap gave SMU scholarship holder Hannah Miller the ideal hit out prior to Suva and her contesting the 5000 and 1500 at the Oceania Championships. Miller (Gore) covered the 5.4km in 20:10, giving her the fastest womens time by over four minutes. She has also been selected for the 5000m at the World University Championships in August. Second fastest was M55 Angela Ryan (St Pauls) with 24:25. The men had Jack McNaughton (17, St Pauls) claim the fastest man trophy for the second year in row with 18:40, a 51 second improvement on 12 months ago. Trailing him by a mere 10 seconds was Fordland's Dwight Grieve who celebrated moving into the 40s with a similar improvement from a year ago. Sam Thornbury with 19:06 was third. First over the line on handicap was Gary Kirkman (Fiordland) with a narrow lead over Graham Neilson (St Pauls). Kylie Davidson in third won the womens handicap trophy.

Copenhagen Athletics Games, 20 June: Michael Cochrane 400m H 52.34 (7R2). Matthew Manning 800m 1:52.46 PB (1RB).

UK

BMC, Grand Prix, Watford, 24 June: Katherine Camp 800m 2:03.21 (2RA). Rasmus Bengtsson 800m 1:55.06 (4RF).

BELGIUM

EAP Nivelles, 24 June: Kelsey Berryman 100m 12.26 (-0.7) (1RB), 12.27 (0.0) (6H1). Matthew Manning 1500m 3:47.27 (2). Tony Payne 3000m 8:58.19 (13). Alex Parlane 3000m 9:01.15 (14).

Flanders Cup, Lokeren, 25 June: Ben Moynihan 1500m 3:57.34 (10). Michael Cochrane 400m H 52.92 (5). Kelsey Berryman LJ 5.84m (+0.3) (1).

AUSTRALIA

LAQ Winter Carnival, Townsville, Queensland, 24 June: Tori Peeters JT 53.08m (1), Holly Robinson F46 JT 41.61m (2). Anna Grimaldi T47 LJ 5.08m (NWI) (1), 200m 27.10 (1). Jessica Hamill seated SP 7.33m (1).
