New Zealand athlete Kate McIlroy is to return home with an injured Achilles tendon following a disappointing race in Monaco yesterday.
McIlroy was 14th in the women's 3000m steeplechase at the Super Grand Prix meet.
At the same meet, Nick Willis was ninth in the 1500m. His time of 3m 35.81s was more than 3s outside his personal best, about the same time he was behind the winner, Kenya's Alex Kipchirchir.
