Nick Willis, still showing the effects of dehydration following his 1500m semifinal, faded to twelfth in the 1500m final at the World Champs. Willis' time was 3m 38.69s.
He uncharacteristically lead the race through the first two laps in a moderate pace, before being passed by thefield over the last 500m.
The event was won by Kenyan Olympic Champion Asbel Kiprop (3m 35.69) from favorite and teammate Silas Kiplagat.
Stuart Farquhar finished 11th in the final of the Javelin.
He held the lead at the start of the first round with 78.99 metres, but as the other competitors improved, Farquhar could not throw any further recording throws of 75.18 and 77.13.
He beat former world champion Sergey Makarov of Russia. The event was won by Matthais De Zordo from Germany, throwing 86.27m in the first round from hot favorite Andreas Thorkildsen (Norway) 84.78m.
