Athletics: Adams wins 55th in a row

Win number 55 in a row for Kiwi shotputter Valerie Adams.

Adams has thrown 19.96 metres to win the latest Diamond league meet in Birmingham.

Germany's Christina Schwanitz finished in second with a best effort of 19.27m. Cleopatra Borel, who was second behind Adams at the Commonwealth Games, was third with 18.62m.

Adams now leads the Diamond Race standings with 24 points, after six Diamond League victories this year. Schwanitz is well back in second on six points.
