AFL star Lachlan Murphy does bizarre post-game interview in budgie smugglers

We've seen some bizarre post game interviews take place over the years, this one may well top the lot.

Rising Adelaide Crows star Lachlan Murphy played a key role up forward to help his side claim an imposing 97-68 win over St Kilda.

But it was after the game when the eyebrows were raised as he was interviewed by Fox Footy's Nick Dal Santo and Jonathan Brown in the rooms.

Murphy, who was first drafted by Adelaide in their third selection last year, donned nothing but a pair of Adelaide Crows coloured budgie smugglers as the interview got underway with his family standing in the background.

The topic was raised immediately by the commentators before teammate Eddie Betts strolled past and told the youngster to "put some clothes on mate".

Earlier this month, Murphy was nominated for the 2019 AFL Mark of the Year for his courageous grab against Gold Coast on Easter Sunday.

In the dying minutes of the round five clash, teammate Riley Knight chipped the ball into space inside the Crows forward 50.

With eyes set on the football, Murphy bravely went back with the flight and took the mark, turning his body to brace for contact from the incoming Suns defender.
