Buy one blanket and another will be given to a Kiwi in need.
Briscoes’ Tammy Wells and The Salvation Army’s Rhondda Middleton joined Herald Now to discuss a new initiative aimed at helping vulnerable Kiwis stay warm this winter. The “buy a blanket, give a blanket” campaign means that forevery Cuddledown faux mink blanket purchased, another is donated to a family or individual in need, distributed through The Salvation Army with support from the NZ Food Network. The pair said winter can be especially tough, with some households struggling to afford heating or even going to bed early just to stay warm. The campaign aims to make it easy for shoppers to help, turning an everyday purchase into practical support for communities across the country, in-store and online.
