The name GlenTui was born out of combining two names most important to the developers Janine Twose and Mark Wikstrom. Janines deceased partner, and father to their 2 daughters Lexie and Demi Tui was called Glen, he was a great friend of Mark and Tracy's also (Marks wife), who sadly passed away before he had the chance to move next door to Mark and in his words, 'annoy you for the rest of your life'. Tui being Janine's Mother and Daughters name added together to make GlenTui.

GlenTui Heights is a development with a difference. The plan was originally for 104 sections, this was reduced to 35 to retain a lot of the bush in the area and ensure there is the space for residents to enjoy all the surrounding benefits like fishing, walking, tramping, cycling and taking in that breath-taking view. It is about building a great community, not a glut of houses and then moving onto the next project.
The entrance way to GlenTui Heights has two amazing sculptures of Tui's from a renowned local Queenstown artist Dan Kelly. These personal touches along with investment into the unique is what makes this a special place. GlenTui has started on a big swimming pond with Jetty, BBQ area and large playground with outdoor adult fitness equipment, a turnaround area for the kids bus, a bus shelter for the kids, a courier drop off and plans underway for a Lodge.
