Waterfront living

Construction of a luxury apartment complex overlooking the waterfront at Paihia in the Bay of Islands is underway. The Edgewater Palms will comprise 36 apartments in five low-rise buildings with subtropical gardens and a pool. Bayleys Paihia marketing agent Nicki Kempthorne says the development’s prime position - 800m from Paihia township and overlooking the water - has commanded considerable interest. Only six of the apartments, designed by Ignite Ltd and Butt Design, are still available. Purchasers have the option of either purchasing for permanent residency or as a managed holiday apartment.
