$2.35 million for 30a Ascot Rd in Mangere, rented to the Bank of New Zealand on a 17-year lease dating back to 1991. Willy Main and Caroline Cornish, of Colliers International, sold the property.
Glen Innes sale
A Blockbuster Video shop in the Glen Innes shopping centre sold for $735,000. The 357sq m property at 217 Taniwha St sold at a 9 per cent yield, with a lease running until December 2008. James Chan and David Young, of Bayleys Auckland, were the agents.
Pool hall on site
An owner-occupier bought two adjoining warehouses on the North Shore for $720,000. The properties are at 187-189 Archers Rd. One 740sq m warehouse was sold with vacant possession.The other 322sq m unit is leased as a pool hall at $26,500 annually. The property has more than 20 carparks. John Urlich, of Bayleys Auckland, sold it.
Office at Mount
L.J. Hooker Commercial has opened its first commercial and industrial office outside Auckland, in Mt Maunganui. This is the first office opened since Link Realty gained the rights to the Hooker Commercial brand last year. Link Realty director Mike Fraser is branch manager of the new office.
$42,000 rent yield
A 284sq m building on a 476sq m site at 43-45 Mt Eden Rd - 200m from the intersection with Symonds St - sold for $580,000. Commercial and residential tenants pay $42,000 rent a year. Colin Stewart and Alan Haydock, of Bayleys Auckland, sold it.
Masons' site sold
Two adjoining buildings occupied by stonemasons Parkinson & Bouskill have been sold. The property at 126-128 Symonds St will be converted into a computer business. A 116sq m building sold for $438,000 and a 141sq m building for $288,000. John Bardebes and Don Partington, of Bayleys Auckland, were the agents.
Units planned
A two-level Parnell office building with a basement and on a 1811sq m site has sold for $2,750,000. The Cheshire St property will be redeveloped. Consent has been issued for seven residential units to be built there. Roger Seavill and Andrew Hiskens, of Colliers International, completed the deal.
