Vino Vino, a restaurant and bar on Waiheke Island that has become a fond holiday memory for many tourists visiting the island, is now for sale as a business within leased premises.
The restaurant and bar at 153 Oceanview Rd, Oneroa, which is also popular with locals,offers a Mediterranean menuwithin a warm interior and stunning views across Oneroa Bay from its large balcony. Wines from Waiheke's Island's many vineyards are among its specialty offerings.
The business is for sale because owner, Stjepan Hrestak, plans to retire and spend time overseas after having worked as the chef in the business for many years; alongside his wife Slava and daughter Vesna, who help on the dining room floor.
LINK business broker Hamish Aitcheson, who is marketing the business, says the sale presents an opportunity for a new owner to take the successful business to the next level.
Aitcheson says Vino Vino, which is capable of racking up average weekly sales of $25,188, is strategically situated in the heart of Oneroa Village and has an extensive deck with outdoor seating for 40 and indoor seating for 50 diners.

"The current annual rent is $69,000 net and there is excellent security, with the terms of lease providing two rights of renewal and pushing final expiry date out until 2028."
He says the business, just a 35-minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland, not only provides a substantial income, but also allows the owner to take eight weeks off a year.
"With sales averaging $25k per week, there are no concerns about seasonal fluctuations. Increasingly Waiheke is becoming a year-round destination and we have concluded several sales of high profile hospitality businesses there in recent months," Aitcheson says.
