The popular Continental Bakery cafe in Rangiora, north of Christchurch, is for sale as part of a company restructuring by Continental Catering Group.
Located at 138 Percival St, the Bakery was home to Continental's first commercial kitchen and is being marketed by investment sales broker Philip Cooper of Colliers International.
The business within leased premises is for sale by deadline private treaty, closing at 4pm on August 22, unless sold earlier.
There are about 10 years remaining to run on the lease of the premises which contain an overall area of 636.36sq m.
The cafe can seat up to fifty people at a time and includes a large kitchen.
"This is a very profitable business, but it doesn't form a core part of the Continental Catering Group's present and future growth," Cooper says.
"It is therefore being sold as a quality business opportunity for a new operator."
Cooper says Rangiora remains a thriving area, with office space occupancy at low levels and keen interest from investors in businesses and properties that come to the market.
