An industrial development site in a proven Mangere location is on the market through sole agents Colliers International.

The 2136sq m freehold site on sought-after Mahunga Drive is being marketed by Dwayne Warby and Brad Johnston for sale by deadline private treaty, closing April 27.

Warby says the site offers investors and owner-occupiers a rare opportunity to develop a near-vacant landholding in an established industrial precinct with excellent transport links.

"It's uncommon for developable land in tightly held Mangere to come onto the market, so the potential here is huge," he says.

Johnston says Mahunga Drive is perfectly located within one of Auckland's most established premium industrial precincts.

The site is only 800m from the Southwestern motorway (State Highway 20), providing easy access to the Southern Motorway (SH1) some 12km away.

With the completion of the Waterview Connection due in coming months, SH20 will also soon provide access to the Northwestern Motorway (SH16).

"Mangere is poised to be in the centre of the Western Ring Route, giving it excellent transport links to the south and north of the region and beyond via SH1 and SH16," says Johnston.

"Major road infrastructure completions in the area in recent years have already resulted in the precinct becoming a prime location for industrial users, and the Waterview Connection will make it even more desirable."

Johnston says the property is only 6km from Metroport, 7.5km from the airport, 11km from the Wiri Inland Port, and 13km from the Auckland CBD.
