The newly refurbished Northern Pavilion of Devonport Wharf will be home to a new café and restaurant to called Devon on the Wharf.
Fit-out works will commence next month and the new "all-round hospitality business" is due to open in July.
"Devon on the Wharf will offer everything from coffeein the early morning to meals throughout the day, as well as ice cream and drinks," Chris Beasleigh, JLL's head of retail who has leased the wharf area with colleague Chloe Brooks.
Beasleigh says Auckland restauranteurs Alex Isik and Nigar Ivgen are "the names" behind Devon on the Wharf.
"They are the owners of the popular Deco Eatery in Titirangi and Bodrum Kitchen in New Lynn and are well equipped to deal with the two million or so passengers currently passing through the ferry terminal each year."
He says the menu will be "inspired by the ocean, with a touch of Isik and Ivgen's Turkish heritage".
Beasleigh says the pair are looking forward to returning to Devonport where they acquired Zigana Espresso some years ago.
The new letting agreement follows a substantial refurbishment of the northern end and surrounding public areas of Devonport Wharf by Auckland Transport. Improvements include the upgrade of Marine Square and a new boardwalk and central entrance designed to enhance connectivity between the wharf and Devonport village.
Beasleigh says JLL has successfully marketed the high-end premises with a goal of securing a tenant with a vision for the area that's in line with that of Auckland Transport..
"This meets Auckland Transport's goal of creating an appealing space for visitors, locals and commuters," he says. "It will be an impressive venue that will draw people to the wharf and ultimately increase passenger numbers for Auckland Transport.."

Beasleigh says the project team for the revamp of Devonport Wharf has drawn its inspiration from Sydney's Manly Wharf which successfully combined the transport facilities with retail outlets.
Mark Lambert, general manager of AT Metro says "the new restaurant will help build Devonport Wharf as a centre of activity to the benefit of locals, visitors and commuters alike.
"One of the key objectives of our strategy is to enhance the experience for customers using Metro public transport services and to attract current non-public transport users to the Metro facilities," Lambert says.
