This prestigious residence with exceptional living spaces and harbour views is something to be seen. By CHARLOTTE COSSAR.

Staking its shining claim in the neighbour is this new metallic-looking home that is very chic and modish.

Making an instant impact at the end of Marguerita Pl in Hobsonville, this capacious multi-level home
clad in aluminium panels intersected with expanses of glazing epitomises luxury living in every sense.

Expanses of glass bring the outside in, yet skilfully keep passers-by from interfering on proceedings.

Sleek and clean-lined, the kitchen is awash with granite benchtops and metallic lacquer-finish cabinetry, making it cohesively meld with the other spaces it's connected to. The appliances aren't too shabby either, comprising Smeg gas hobs, twin electric ovens, microwave and rangehood, Fisher & Paykel DishDrawers, a fridge-freezer with icemaker, and even a floor-level dust extractor.

Wrap-around balconies are accessible through floor-to-ceiling bifolds and the mood is magnificently set with dulcet sounds floating across the area from the concealed speakers.

The bedrooms are spread across three levels. All of a generous size, the master suite, however, is set to impress. On its own floor - with panoramic views of the harbour, Sky Tower, city and northern end of the marina - there is a lounge area, kitchenette, en suite and dressing room complete with timber cabinetry. A 42-inch Panasonic plasma screen television with security monitor to the house exterior means you can check out any nosy intruders or relax and enjoy a spot of late-night telly.

Servicing these rooms, the bathrooms are flush with tiles, full of luxury and on more than one occasion have showers with massage heads.

On the lower level, males are in their element. A bar area, complete with a polished jarrah top, lacquer finish cabinetry and room for a lounge furniture setting is just outside the media room.

A large room with a 2.5m screen, DVD, video, amplifier, movie projector and six speakers, it has acoustic wall lining and light exclusion curtains. A perfect place for serious movie watching or rugby games. Next door, a more relaxed environment is created in the Japanese tea room. Opening through Shoji sliding doors and with lighting imported from Japan, the retreat leads to the pool, water feature and landscaped gardens.

Soaking in the scene takes on a new dimension at this home with its own room dedicated to pampering. Complete with a spa pool, sauna and twin shower with massage heads, you can cool off just outside the door in the heated swimming pool.

There are so many features it's impossible to mention them all. However, a brief run-down includes underfloor heating in all the tiled areas, reverse-cycle air conditioning and wine and freezer storage cupboards.

A home with something and a space for everything, it's sure to make an impression.
