A vacant industrial warehousing premises provisioned for the storage of dangerous goods has been placed on the market for sale.
The large warehouse in the Bay of Plenty township of Kawerau comprises a 1668 square metre 1980s-styled building on 3915sq m of freehold land.
The building is owned by itsformer tenant, who had been running an engineering and fabrication business on the Kawerau site since the 1980s. The rectangular shaped building sits alongside offices and staff amenities.
The property at 11 Spencer Ave is being marketed for sale at auction at 1pm on June 27 through Bayleys Tauranga, and features in Bayleys' latest Total Property portfolio magazine out this weekend.
Bayleys Tauranga salespeople Lloyd Davidson, Rhys Mischefski and Laura Taylor say the warehouse is provisioned for the storage of dangerous goods.
"Positioned in one of Kawerau's industrial areas on a flat freehold site, the high-stud warehousing has large horizontal sliding doors which provide good access to both the side and rear of the property," Taylor says.
"The building includes two workshop areas — one of which is fully enclosed with its own roller door providing a completely separate working space if desired."
Those large sliding doors lead out onto a large yard capable of accommodating a fleet of large vehicles — ranging from haulage trucks or container lorries through to roading maintenance machinery. Taylor says the property is being sold vacant.
