Christchurch values rise

A survey by Simes Valuation Research shows that residential property values in Christchurch are rising as demand is pushed up by strong public confidence in the real estate market.

The survey compared the number of residential sales and median values in the city between January and June 2001 with the same period this year. It showed growth in sales volume in almost all the main suburbs and an increase in property values in many areas.
