The pavilion could be reinvented as a sports centre.
Bluewater's pavilion in Auckland's Britomart Centre is being sold and will soon be dismantled and relocated.
Since 2000, it has stood in Takutai Square behind the Quay St buildings being refurbished and developed by Bluewater.
Now, the building designed by award-winning architect Pip Cheshire is for sale.

Cockram, Bluewater's chief executive, said he expected the structure to be removed from its site within the next year.
Westpac's new corporate headquarters will be built near the area near where the Britomart Pavilion stands, so the building has to go.
The structure, built by Whangarei-based Fabric Shelter Systems, has been one of Auckland's most popular small event centres since completion in 2005.
Social, charity, arts, corporate and community events and even a boxing match have been held there.
Sarah Hull of Bluewater said the building was rented for $5000 a night and had become a popular centre for a wide range of events.
"We're just going down the track of selling it," she said.
"Lots of people have said that when we're ready, they're keen to buy it."
Cockram said the building would be appropriate as an indoor sports event centre, particularly for tennis. But it could also be shifted to Mountain Landing, the farm in the Far North being developed by Bluewater boss Peter Cooper.
Fabric Shelter Systems also created the giant rugby ball erected beside the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
"The ball was created as an iconic promotional venue for the 2007 Rugby World Cup to showcase New Zealand," the firm said.
