"The facility would therefore suit a large multi-national occupier in the manufacturing or warehousing sectors looking for a new head office."
The corner site property has drive-through access, about 90 on-site car parks and a large yard area, which could be extended to give extra space for containers and truck movements.
The rear portion of the warehouse is divided and sub-let.
Lamb and Hooper recently helped NZ Window Shades buy a new head office in Lady Ruby Drive, East Tamaki.
The lease for the Vesty Drive building expires in July next year, but the building could be be made available sooner if required, Lamb says.
"This possibility will provide flexibility to those occupiers who are reviewing their property strategies in advance of their lease expiries."
The property's owner, PFI, is a professional landlord with significant land ownership in the immediate area. General manager Nick Cobham says 2-6 Niall Burgess Road is one of the company's core assets.
"This property is in a prime industrial area in which we have a large exposure, having long ago identified the compelling supply and demand forces at work in the Mt Wellington industrial market.
"The facility is a great asset and is close to transport links, so it is likely to receive high levels of interest."
Hooper says Vestey Drive is highly sought-after by importers and distributors because of its central location halfway between central Auckland and the port, and Auckland International Airport, and its convenient access to the motorway network.
"Properties here generally get snapped up very quickly."
