Her new collection - a sumptuous mix of gifts and wares for the home, printed with hand-drawn illustrations of flora and fauna from Aotearoa - imparts an organic sheen with natural colours, patterns, and textures.
"Essentially, my art and designs are all about connecting people to the beauty of nature, to enhance wellbeing and to inspire people to look after our natural world," says Brown, whose sustainably minded textiles including cushions, tablecloths and bags are made from 100 per cent hemp, and whose art prints and cards are made in New Zealand, working with local printers using FSC Forest Stewardship Council papers.
This Easter, Canvas is giving away a special prize from Brown, comprising two cushions, a tablecloth, one A5 print and a bag, with a total value of $480.
