Purchase The New Zealand Herald or Herald on Sunday from a participating Whitcoulls store between June 16 and July 13 2008, for your chance to win a luxury holiday to either Karma Kandara Bali or Karma Samui Thailand.

Prize details

There are two Luxury Karma Resort Holidays
to be won, one to Karma Kandara (Bali) and one to Karma Samui (Thailand).

Each prize package includes:
* Return airfares for two from Auckland and transfers to the resort with 6-nights accommodation in a 3-bedroom residence including breakfast daily.

* On arrival they will receive a gourmet antipasto plate, a bottle of sparkling wine and fresh fruit cocktails.

* Each day a large bowl of seasonal fruit will be replenished in their residence, plus they will be treated to a romantic dinner for two by the ocean and a two hour Chakra Spa Treatment.

How to enter

There are two ways to enter, purchase the New Zealand Herald or Herald on Sunday, any day from Monday, June 16 until Sunday, July 13, 2008 at participating Whitcoulls outlets and:
a. Hand a completed "Win 1 of 2 Luxury Karma Resort Holidays" entry form with an attached original proof of purchase (receipt) to a customer service representative at any participating Whitcoulls branded outlet; or
b. Send your completed "Win 1 of 2 Luxury Karma Resort Holidays" entry form with an attached original proof of purchase (receipt) to "Win 1 of 2 Luxury Karma Resort Holidays" promotion, The New Zealand Herald, Marketing Department, PO Box 3290, Auckland City.

Terms and Conditions

1. Information on How to Enter and all details and instructions appearing on the entry form and at point of sale, forms part of the terms and conditions of entry to this Competition. To the extent of any inconsistency in the information on How to Enter and other details and instructions, the Terms and Conditions below will prevail.
2. Entry into this Competition indicates an acceptance and agreement of all these terms & conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions you should not enter the Competition.
3. Entry is open to NZ residents except employees (and such employees' immediate families) of APN New Zealand Limited (NZ Herald), ARW Group, Whitcoulls New Zealand, World Resorts of Distinction (WRD), their agencies associated with the promotion and New Zealand Herald retailers. Failure to provide all requested personal information at the time of submitting an entry may result in the entry being invalid. If the main prizewinner drawn is under the age of 18 years the prize will be awarded to their parent or guardian
4. To enter, purchase the New Zealand Herald or Herald on Sunday, any day from Monday, June 16 until Sunday, July 13, 2008 at participating Whitcoulls-branded outlets and:
a. Hand a completed "Win 1 of 2 Luxury Karma Resort Holidays" entry form with an attached original proof of purchase (receipt) to a customer service representative at any participating Whitcoulls branded outlet; or
b. Send your completed "Win 1 of 2 Luxury Karma Resort Holidays" entry form with an attached original proof of purchase (receipt) to "Win 1 of 2 Luxury Karma Resort Holidays" promotion, The New Zealand Herald, Marketing Department, PO Box 3290, Auckland City.
In-store entries must be received by midnight Monday, July 14, 2008. Postal entries must be received by 5pm Friday, July 18, 2008. Entrants may enter as often as they wish, but each entry must be on a separate entry form provided at the point of purchase and accompanied by a separate original proof of purchase (receipt).
5. Each completed and valid entry form will be entered into the draw to win. Entries not complying with these Terms and Conditions, and any late, lost, stolen, misdirected, illegal, incomplete, illegible, damaged, reproduced, or altered entries, will be deemed invalid. NZ Herald reserves the right to verify the validity of any entry.
6. Prize Details: There are two (2) Luxury Karma Resort Holidays to be won, one to Karma Kandara (Bali) and one to Karma Samui (Thailand).

Full details of each holiday as below:
KARMA KANDARA (BALI, INDONESIA)
Two (2) economy class return tickets from Auckland or Wellington to Denpasar, Bali. Return Airport transfers from Denpasar Airport to Karma Kandara. Six (6) nights accommodation for two (2) people in a three (3) bedroom-pool residence, including breakfast daily and a large bowl of seasonal fruit in residence-replenished daily. A gourmet antipasto plate plus fresh fruit cocktails and one (1) bottle of sparkling wine on arrival. A romantic dinner for two (2) by the ocean. A one (1) x two (2) hours Chakra Spa treatment.
KARMA SAMUI (KOH SAMUI, THAILAND)
Two (2) economy class return tickets from Auckland or Wellington to Koh Samui (via Bangkok), Thailand. Return Airport transfers from Koh Samui Airport to Karma Samui. Six (6) nights accommodation for two (2) people in a three (3) bedroom residence, including breakfast daily and a large bowl of seasonal fruit in residence-replenished daily. A gourmet antipasto plate plus fresh fruit cocktails and one (1) bottle of sparkling wine on arrival. A romantic dinner for two (2) by the ocean. A one (1) x two (2) hours Chakra Spa treatment.
7. All travel prizes need to be taken within 12 months of the prize draw and is valid only outside of the high season. Black out dates as below:
Bali: 16 July 2008 to 15 September 2008 and 20 December 2008 to 6 January 2009
Samui: 01 July 2008 to 15 September 2008 and 21 December 2008 to 31 March 2009
Winners must state their desired travel dates within 3 months of the prize draw to ensure maximum chance of availability of prizes.
8. It is each winner's responsibility to cover any additional costs associated with the prize not specifically stated in clause 6, and to arrange passports, visas and insurance. All travel prizes exclude travel/transport to and from Auckland or Wellington airports, departures taxes, some transfers, insurance, some meals or beverages. Additional spending money and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner unless otherwise stated. Prize winners flying from Wellington will fly domestic to Auckland and then Auckland to Denpasar, Bali or Koh Samui (via Bangkok), Thailand.
9. In the event that any prize(s) become unavailable for any reason beyond the Promoter's control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. Any unused portion of the prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-redeemable for other goods or services and cannot be taken as cash. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value.
10. In the event the prize winner requests a travel prize of greater value than that specified (eg: requests an extended length of stay), the prize-winner shall pay the difference in value and no claim for the difference shall be made against WRD. WRD shall not be under any obligation to meet such a request.
11. Taking the prize is subject to any prevailing terms and conditions of the accommodation/ transport/ services or transfers (as applicable), and in particular, health, behaviour, age and safety requirements. No compensation will be payable if the winner, or their travel companions, are unable to use any element of the prize as stated for whatever reason, including participation in certain activities for health, age, behaviour or safety reasons. Any part of a prize that is not taken for any reason is forfeited.
12. The winner and their travel companion will not accrue any frequent flyer points from taking the prize. All components of the prize must be taken together. Any element of the prize not taken will be deemed to be forfeited. Accommodation and travel is subject to booking, accommodation and flight availability. Once booked, any changes made to the booking may incur a cancellation fee or amendment fee, at the cost of the winner. Travel and accommodation are to be arranged by WRD or their agents.
13. The prize draw will take place Thursday, July 24, 2008.
14. The winners will be notified by phone (where applicable) and confirmed in writing. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 28 days of the prize draw, that winner will forfeit the prize and a redraw will be made.
15. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 16. Prizes are not exchangeable, not transferable and not redeemable for cash. 17. NZ Herald (and its related companies) accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected mail and will not be liable to any person in any way in relation to this Competition or the prize(s) (including but not limited to personal injury) except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
18. Each person who enters the Competition acknowledges that no representations as to the quality or fitness for purpose of the prize has been made by NZ Herald or any representative of the NZ Herald.
19. All entries become the property of NZ Herald. NZ Herald collects and holds personal information provided with each entry, to be used to notify prize winner, to verify prize winner's identity and, unless otherwise requested may be used for future promotional activities conducted by the NZ Herald. Under the Privacy Act 1993, all individuals have rights to access to and correction of their personal information held by the NZ Herald at 46 Albert Street, Auckland by contacting NZ Herald on 0800 100 888 during business hours. Failure to provide all requested personal information at the time of submitting an entry may result in the entry being invalid.
20. The winner's name and photo may be used for publicity purposes and by accepting the prize the winner must make himself/herself available for this purpose.
21. The promoter is APN New Zealand Limited (NZ Herald), 46 Albert Street, Auckland.
