1. Information on how to enter the promotion forms part of the conditions of entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed as acceptance of its terms and conditions.

Eligibility to enter

2. Entry is only open to New Zealand residents, except employees (and such employees' immediate families) of Jetstar Airways Ltd and NZME limited and agencies associated with the promotion.

3. The prize will be awarded to One (1) selected primary school, for Twenty (20) children of that school. The principal of that school will be responsible for choosing which 20 children get to go on this trip to Queenstown for the 2016 Hilux New Zealand Rural Games.

4. As the prize winners will all be under the age of 18, before they can redeem their prize they must obtain consent from their parent or legal guardian to do so.

5. Guardianship and supervision is the responsibility of the selected primary school. There must be 1 guardian per 5 children.

6. It is the guardian's responsibility for transporting all twenty (20) children and four (4) guardians to and from Auckland Domestic Airport on Friday, 5 February, 2016 and on Sunday, 7 February, 2016 for the purposes of redeeming this prize, is with the selected school. This includes if the winning primary school is located outside of Auckland.

Competition dates

7. Competition commences Sunday, 25 October 2015, and closes 5:00pm Wednesday, 4 November, 2015.

Prize

8. One (1) prize winner will receive return economy flights from Auckland to Queenstown for twenty (20) children and four (4) guardians from the winning primary school (Waitangi weekend departing Friday, 5 February, 2016 and returning Sunday, 7 February, 2016) with each person receiving an allowance for one checked 20kgbag.
9. Two (2) nights accommodation at the Novotel, Queenstown for twenty (20) children and four (4) guardians from the winning primary school.
10. A day of fun and rural adventure in the Jetstar Kids 'n Country area at the Hilux New Zealand Rural Games on the Saturday, 6 February, 2016
11. Queenstown airport transfers.
12. Transport to and from the Hilux New Zealand Rural Games to the provided Queenstown accommodation.
13. An included lunch and dinner on Friday, 5 February, 2016.
14. Breakfast, lunch and dinner on the Saturday, 6 February, 2016.
15. Breakfast on the Sunday, 7 February, 2016.

16. The prize includes GST and taxes included in the price of the plane ticket. Unless otherwise stated, the prize does not include travel insurance, passports, visas, taxes not included in the price of the plane ticket, or any other costs of a personal nature. Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of each prize-winner and companion. The Promoter and Jetstar make no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. Prize travel is subject to Jetstar's General Conditions of Carriage.

17. Prize travel and accommodation is subject to availability at the time of booking. The winners and their companions must travel together on all prize travel and will not accrue Qantas Points on any element of the prize. An upgrade cannot be purchased on airfares with cash or Qantas Points.

18. Prize travel and accommodation must be booked by Friday, 11 December, 2015.

19. Copper Brand Experiences will be responsible for management of the twenty (20) children and the four (4) guardians from the winning primary school for the entire trip from Friday, 5 November, 2016 through to Sunday, 7 February, 2016.

How to enter

20. Entry into the Herald on Sunday competition requires a person to visit www.nzherald.co.nz/SchoolVisitQueenstown, and provide their mandatory details on the competition form.

21. One entry per person is permitted.

22. Valid entry mechanic will involve nominating the primary school accompanied by reasons for why the children from that primary school deserve to experience the Hilux New Zealand Rural Games (in under 100 words or less).

23. In accordance with the Privacy Act 1993, NZME collects personal information and the Promoter holds personal information to conduct the giveaway, notify prize winners, verify prize winners' identities and may be used by the Promoter, for future promotional activities. Individuals have rights to access and request correction of their personal information held by NZME by calling NZME on 09 373 6400. Failure to provide all requested personal information may result in the entry being invalid.

24. Entries close 5.00pm Wednesday, 4 November, 2015.

Judging of entries

25. Entries will be judged based on originality and creativity.

26. Judging for a shortlist of the top ten schools will take place at NZME. 46 Albert St, Auckland, New Zealand on Friday, 6 November. Judging will be conducted by the Editor or nominated representative of the Herald on Sunday (Adjudicator).

27. The shortlist of the top ten schools will then be shared with Jetstar Airways Ltd, who will work closely with the Herald on Sunday to select the top three schools.

28. Copper Brand Experiences will then conduct checks on the final three schools, liaising with each one to ensure that each school approves of being involved in the competition and understands the requirements before providing this information to both Jetstar Airways Ltd and the Herald on Sunday to help them make their final selection of the winner on Wednesday, 11 November, 2015..

29. The Adjudicator's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Chance plays no part in determining the winning.

Judging backup entries

30. As part of judging, the Adjudicator will select an additional Five (5) entries to be used as backup winners in the event that an entrant is unable to satisfy the promotion terms and condition or forfeits or does not claim a prize. If the prize remains unclaimed on Friday 13 November 2015, the Promoter will award the prize to the backup winners in the order judged by the Adjudicator, subject to any written direction given under applicable law. Any winners determined in accordance with clause will be notified by email or phone by Thursday 19 November 2015.

31. The winning primary school will be notified by phone and email on or before Friday 13 November 2015. The winner will also be announced in the Herald on Sunday on either Sunday 22 or 29 November 2015. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash, credit or service and no exchange communications will be entered into.

Entry details and privacy

32. Each entrant agrees that, if their entry is deemed the winning entry, his or her details (including name, school nominated, suburb/town and photo) may be published in the Herald (print and/or online) and used for other publicity purposes.

33. All entries are deemed received at the time of receipt by NZME.'s database and NOT at time of transmission by the entrant. NZME.'s records are conclusive as to time of receipt. Late, misdirected, illegal, incomplete or illegible, are invalid. NZME is not responsible for such entries nor for any error, technical malfunction, loss, omission, communications delay or failure.

34. The Promoter reserves the right to vary the terms, and to modify, terminate or reschedule the Competition, and to substitute any of the prizes for a similar prize of the same value.

35. The Promoter and Jetstar are not liable for any loss, damage or injury (including and without limitation any indirect or consequential loss) suffered by any person in connection with the Competition and prize, except for any liability under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Jetstar's Conditions of Carriage and general booking conditions (and any exclusions contained therein) apply despite any statement to the contrary in these terms and conditions

36. Entrants will have the opportunity to opt into receiving promotional offers from the Promoter.

38. The Promoter is NZME whose registered office is located at 46 Albert St, Auckland City.

39. The prize provider is Jetstar Airways Pty Limited located 79 Victoria Parade, Collingwood, Victoria, Australia 3066.
