1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into this competition is deemed acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.
2. Entry is free and open to residents of New Zealand aged 16 years or older. Employees of the Promoters, the Promoters' associated companies, the Promoters' agencies and partners associated with this promotion and their immediate families are ineligible to enter.
3. The Promoters reserve the right to withdraw this promotion or any part of this promotion should their ability to fulfill due obligations be limited at any stage by any form of technical failure.
4. To enter the promotion, entrants must provide their full name, current and valid email address, New Zealand postal address, and phone number ("Eligible Entrants").
5. Entries must be received by the Promoters during the Promotional Period. The Promoters accept no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
6. Promotion commences at 12.01am, Tuesday December 9, 2014 and will finish at 11.45pm, Sunday, December 21, 2014 ("Promotional Period").
7. The prize draw will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the NZME. Publishing Office.
8. The winners will be notified by telephone or email. Inability to contact the winners by close of business of the prize draw will result in the prize being forfeited and a further draw will be conducted.
9. There is one (1) prize to be won. The maximum total prize value is NZD$5,000. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize.
10. The prize is a $5000 travel voucher to be used towards return Qantas flights from Auckland to Perth with accommodation and activities in Western Australia. Qantas direct services between Auckland and Perth operate twice weekly between 6 December 2014 and 26 April 2015. Flights depart Auckland on Saturday and Sunday and return Friday and Saturday during this period.
11. The prize includes taxes included in the price of the ticket. Unless otherwise stated, the prize does not include travel insurance, passports, visas, meals, taxes not included in the price of the ticket, ground transportation or any other costs of a personal nature not specifically stated. Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the prize-winner and their companion. The Promoter makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. Prize travel is subject to Qantas' General Conditions of Carriage.
12. All prize travel must be completed by 26 April 2015. Advance bookings essential, please allow minimum of 14 days' notice when making the booking. Any prize that is not booked by 11 April 2015 will be forfeited. No travel is permitted 21 December 2014 - 4 January 2015.
13. Prize travel is subject to availability at the time of booking. The winner and their travel companion must travel together on all prize travel and will not accrue Qantas Frequent Flyer points on the prize travel or accommodation. An upgrade cannot be purchased on airfares with cash or Qantas Frequent Flyer points.
14. The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated. Prizes are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services. A prize cannot be transferred to any other person, unless agreed to by the Promoter. There can be no changes made to travel arrangements once tickets are issued. If the prize or any part of it is not utilised it will be forfeited.
15. If the prize (or part of the prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
16. The Promoters' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
17. The prize is not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be taken for cash.
18. By ticking the optional box "I am happy for NZME. (publishers of nzherald.co.nz and Travel Magazine) to email me information and promotions that may be of interest", entrants acknowledge that they are agreeing to receive future emailed communications from the Promoters. Entrants' personal information will be stored on a database by the Promoters. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoters at the addresses set out below.
