Terms and Conditions
1. Information on How to Enter and all details on scratch card and at point of sale form part of these Terms. To the extent of any inconsistency, the Terms below prevail. By entering, you accept these Terms.
2. Entry is open to NZ residents only. Anyone employed by (or anyone who is an immediate family member of someone employed by) APN New Zealand Limited or its related companies ("APN"), Mobil Oil New Zealand Limited ("Mobil"), its related companies or its service station dealers, agencies associated with the Competition, or New Zealand Herald retailers, is ineligible to enter.
3. There are 42 prizes of a Mobilcard loaded with $500 (including GST), which may be used to purchase Mobil fuel, Synergy fuel, Diesel, LPG or convenience store products to be won. There will be one winner every day for 42 days. See 'How to Enter' for closing and draw dates.
4. Proof of winners' identity and age will be required. If a prizewinner is under 18 the Mobilcard will be issued in the name of their parent or guardian. Once the $500 has been used the card will be null and void. The Mobilcard is not redeemable for tobacco or alcohol. The winner will be required to enter into a Mobilcard agreement. The winners have 1 year from the date of receipt of their Mobilcard to redeem the prize. If at the end of the one-year period, credit remains on the winner's Mobilcard, that credit will expire without compensation to the winner. The $500 Mobilcard cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash.
5. Winners will be notified by phone. If a prize is not claimed within 24 hours of a draw APN may re-draw a new winner of that prize. APN's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prizes are not exchangeable or transferable. Non-winning entries will not be carried forward into any subsequent prize draws.
6. Neither APN nor Mobil are liable for any loss, damage or injury (including without limitation indirect or consequential loss) suffered by any person in connection with the promotion or any prize, except for any liability under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7. All entries are deemed received at the time of receipt by APN. APN's records are conclusive as to time of receipt. Late, lost, stolen, misdirected, illegal, incomplete, illegible, damaged, reproduced, or altered entries are invalid. APN is not responsible for such entries nor for any error, technical malfunction, loss, omission, communications delay or failure.
8. Each unique code may be used only once. Each text message costs 20c (this is a telecommunications charge and is not charged by APN).
9. APN reserves the right to vary these Terms or to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion.
10. APN reserves the right to verify the validity of any entry. APN may disqualify any person who uses a unique code more than once or otherwise tampers with the process or fails to comply with these Terms.
11. Entries become the property of APN. In accordance with the Privacy Act 1993, APN collects and holds personal information to conduct the promotion, notify prize winners, verify prize winners' identities and may be used for APN's future promotional and research activities. By entering you agree that APN may send you promotional texts in the future. Individuals have rights to access and request correction of their personal information held by APN by calling 0800 100 888. Failure to provide all requested personal information may result in the entry being invalid.
12. Each winner's name, address and photo may be used for publicity purposes (including publication in The New Zealand Herald, print/online) and by accepting a prize each winner agrees to this and to be available for this purpose.
