Terms and Conditions:

How to enter:

Purchase The New Zealand Herald or Herald on Sunday between 28.11.09 and 13.12.09, look for the daily keyword to enter via the website or the daily coupon to enter via post.

There will be 16 draws with 3 winners in each draw winning
a New Zealand Post Prezzy Card each loaded with $500 each. A draw will be held each day from 28.11.09 till 13.12.09 (with the exception of draws that fall on the weekend which will drawn on the following Monday) and the 16th draw will be held on 18.12.09. For the 1st to 15th draws:

- Web entries received between 12.01am and midnight in one day will be eligible for the following day's draw;
- Postal entries received by 5pm in one day will be eligible for the following day's draw. For the 16th draw, all entries must be received by midnight on 16.12.09.

In addition to the above an adhesive/sticker (with the same look and feel as the rest of the promotional collateral) will be stuck on the front page of the Herald on a selected day during the promotional period.

Readers will simply need to peel the adhesive to reveal their bonus keyword on the reverse and then enter this keyword and their details at winaprezzycard.co.nz. This keyword will give readers one entry into a special bonus draw where they could WIN a NZ Post Prezzy Card loaded with $5,000.

This draw is separate to the daily draws above; only the readers that enter the keyword printed on the reverse of the adhesive via the website will be in this draw. Entries for this draw close midnight on 16.12.09. The special bonus draw will be held on 18.12.2009.

Web Entries – keyword required:
Go to winaprezzycard.co.nz and enter a keyword along with your details. You can only use each keyword once. By purchasing the Herald on different days during the promotion and collecting different keywords, you may enter those keywords in 1 draw. For example, if you have keywords from Monday and Tuesday, you may enter both those keywords in Wednesday's draw (giving you 2 chances to win), but you may not use those keywords in any other draw.

There will be one bonus keyword for added entry into one of the 16 draws. This bonus keyword was sent out to people via email on Friday, November 27, 2009 that has registered to be on the Herald database prior to Friday, November 20, 2009.

To be registered on our database you need to tick the box that says 'Tick here if you would like to receive further information from the Herald via email' which is on the contact details page on major Herald promotional websites'. The entry criteria for the bonus keyword is consistent with the standard web entry criteria for this competition.

Postal Entries – coupon required:
Complete the original entry form and send in an envelope to "Buy the Herald and Win $500 Everyday" The New Zealand Herald, PO Box 3290, Auckland City, 1140. No photocopied coupons accepted; each entry must be in a separate envelope.

Terms of Entry

1.Information on How to Enter and all details on the entry form (web or coupon) and at point of sale form part of these Terms. To the extent of any inconsistency, the Terms below prevail. By entering, you accept these Terms.

2.Entry is open to NZ residents only. Anyone employed by (and any immediate family member of someone employed by) APN or NZ Post or any agencies associated with the promotion or NZ Herald retailers, is ineligible to enter. APN is APN New Zealand Limited (and its related companies).

For the special bonus draw there is one (1) prize of a NZ Post Prezzy Card loaded with five thousand dollars (NZD$5,000). See "How to Enter" for closing and draw dates.

4.The NZ Post Prezzy Cards will be delivered to the winners' via a signature required courier service. The winners' should allow 3 – 4 weeks for delivery of their cards from the date that they were notified about being a winner of this promotion.

5.Winners will be notified by phone. If a prize is not claimed within 24 hours of a draw APN may re-draw a new winner of that prize. APN's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prize cannot be exchanged for cash, credit or service and no exchange communications will be entered into. Non-winning entries will not be carried forward into any subsequent prize draws.

6.Neither APN nor NZ Post are liable for any loss, damage or injury (including without limitation indirect or consequential loss) suffered by any person in connection with the promotion or any prize, except for any liability under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

7.All entries are deemed received at the time of receipt by APN (for web entries, when received in to APN's "Buy the Herald and WIN $500 Everyday" database and NOT at time of transmission by the entrant). APN's records are conclusive as to time of receipt. Late, lost, stolen, misdirected, illegal, incomplete, illegible, damaged, reproduced, or altered entries are invalid. APN is not responsible for such entries nor for any error, technical malfunction, loss, omission, communications delay or failure.

8.APN reserves the right to vary these Terms or to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion.

9.APN reserves the right to verify the validity of any entry. APN may disqualify any person who enters a keyword more than once or copies a coupon or otherwise tampers with the process or fails to comply with these Terms.

10.Web entrants are identified by the email address used to submit the entry.Any prize won by a web entrant will be awarded to the holder of the email address (or that person's parent/guardian) from which that entry was submitted. APN takes no responsibility for disputes resulting from entries submitted using an email address belonging to any other person.

11.Entries become the property of APN and NZ Post. In accordance with the Privacy Act 1993, APN collects and holds personal information to conduct the promotion, notify prize winners, verify prize winners' identities and may be used for APN and NZ Post's future promotional activities, including (where consented to) sending the entrant emails and/or text messages. Individuals have rights to access and request correction of their personal information held by APN by calling 0800 100 888 and by NZ Post by calling 04 460 5375. Failure to provide all requested personal information may result in the entry being invalid.

12.Each entrant agrees that, if he or she wins a prize, his or her details (including name, suburb/town, and photo) will be published in The New Zealand Herald (print and/or online) and used for other publicity purposes.
