How to enter:
Purchase The New Zealand Herald or Herald on Sunday between Saturday, July 17 and Sunday, August 1 2010; look for the daily keyword to enter via the website or the daily coupon to enter via post. Web entries close at midnight on Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Postal
entries close at 5pm on Friday, August 6, 2010. Two winners will be drawn for this promotion. The Winners will be drawn on or before Friday, August 27, 2010.

Web Entries - keyword required:
Go to www.africanadventure.co.nz and enter a daily keyword along with your details. You can only use each keyword once. By purchasing the Herald on different days during the promotion and collecting different keywords, you increase your chances of winning.

There will be one bonus keyword for added entry; this bonus keyword will be sent via email to Herald readers that are on the Herald's database and have previously opted to be contacted by the Herald via email on Friday, July 16, 2010. If readers aren't on our database and don't receive the email they can tick the box on the keyword page under the bonus keyword field and they will be emailed the bonus keyword within 7 working days. The entry criteria for this bonus keyword are consistent with the standard web entry criteria for this competition. Keywords can be entered in any order however the daily keywords from the paper will not be accepted in the bonus keyword box and the bonus keyword will not be accepted in the daily keyword box.

Postal Entries - coupon required:
Complete the original entry form and send in an envelope to 'BE IN TO A WILD AFRICAN ADVENTURE' The New Zealand Herald, Marketing Department, PO Box 3290, Shortland St, Auckland 1140. No photocopied coupons accepted; multiple entries can be in the same envelope.

Terms of Entry
1. Information on How to Enter and all details on the entry form (web or coupon) and at point of sale form part of these Terms. To the extent of any inconsistency, the Terms below prevail. By entering, you accept these Terms.

2. Entry is open to NZ residents only. Anyone employed by (and any immediate family member of someone employed by) APN, Intrepid Travel and Singapore Airlines, and any agencies associated with these companies or with the promotion and Herald retailers are ineligible to enter. APN is APN New Zealand Limited (and its related companies). If either of the winners are under the age of 18 years the prize(s) will be awarded to the winner's parent(s) or guardian(s).

3. There will be two (2) winners and the two (2) winners will choose from the following Intrepid Travel African adventures. One is from Durban to Cape Town (Southern Highlights) and the other is from Cape Town to Windhoek (Garden Route) each of these include:
- 2 Return economy class airfares from Auckland/Christchurch to either Cape Town/Johannesburg (depending on which trip is chosen), flying Singapore Airlines
- An Intrepid Travel 'Southern Highlights' or 'Garden Route' comfort trip including all accommodation (in hotels or guest houses), all transport, (both private and public). A range of activities (these differ depending on travel package) visit, www.intrepidtravel.com for more details on the 'Southern Highlights' and 'Garden Route' packages.
- All airline taxes and fuel charges

4. The prizes do not include travel insurance, passports, visas, some meals or any other costs of a personal nature not stated. The winners' and their Travel companion must take out travel insurance for the duration of this trip and proof of purchase must be supplied to Intrepid Travel prior to departure.

5. Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of each winner and their travel companion.

6. Booking needs to be made with Intrepid Travel at 296 Broadway, Newmarket, Auckland or by calling 0800 600 610 and at least 60 days prior to departure. Travel must be completed by 30/06/2011. No extension is available.

7. The issuance of flight tickets is subject to seat availability. Travel prizes cannot be used during the peak period between 01 December 2010 and 31 January 2011. Excess baggage waiver will not be granted on flights. Economy Class airline tickets are not upgradeable to Business Class unless the winners' wish to do so at their expense. The tickets will only be issued if all sectors are confirmed.

8. The prize-winner will undertake to pay for any transportation costs to Auckland or Christchurch. Travel will only be available on Singapore Airlines' operated services.
9. Travellers are expected to observe the following conditions as part of the utilisation of travel:
- Be neatly and appropriately attired when travelling;
- Not carry, on their person, in their luggage or carry-on baggage, any contraband or goods which are prohibited by the laws of Singapore or the country of their final destination, or goods which are unsuitable for carriage on a commercial aircraft;
- Observe all directions of SIA's ground staff and air crew at all times;
- Comply with the requirements of immigration and customs authorities in each country;
- Comply with the laws of the jurisdiction they are visiting

10. Charges for excess baggage shall apply where a passenger seeks to carry more than their entitlement of luggage. In such cases, SIA is not liable for the charges. Tickets will be valid for the period specified on the ticket. Unused travel at the expiry of the validity period cannot be refunded or re-utilised. Once a journey commences (ie the point at which the first flight coupon is redeemed for travel), the utilisation of the commitment for free tickets is deemed to have been made against the provision stated above.

11. Travel is not convertible to cash SIA reserves its right to impose particular flight embargoes during periods of heavy demand as is required commercially from time to time.

12. At all times, it will be the responsibility of the traveller to ensure that his/her passport is in order and that he/she has the necessary visa clearances to enter the country of destination. Tickets are not transferable and must be issued only in the correct name of the person travelling.

13. Winners will be notified by phone. If the prize is not claimed within 7 days from the draw date APN may re-draw a new winner. APN's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prize cannot be exchanged for cash, credit or service and no exchange communications will be entered into.

14. Neither APN nor Intrepid Travel or Singapore Airlines are liable for any loss, damage or injury (including without limitation indirect or consequential loss) suffered by any person in connection with the promotion or any prize, except for any liability under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

15. All entries are deemed received at the time of receipt by APN (for web entries, when received in to APN's ' BE IN TO WIN 1 OF 2 AFRICAN ADVENTURES' database and NOT at time of transmission by the entrant). APN's records are conclusive as to time of receipt. Late, lost, stolen, misdirected, illegal, incomplete, illegible, damaged, reproduced, or altered entries are invalid. APN is not responsible for such entries nor for any error, technical malfunction, loss, omission, communications delay or failure.

16. APN reserves the right to vary these Terms or to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion.

17. APN reserves the right to verify the validity of any entry. APN may disqualify any person who enters a keyword more than once or copies a coupon or otherwise tampers with the process or fails to comply with these Terms.

18. Web entrants are identified by the email address used to submit the entry. Any prize won by a web entrant will be awarded to the holder of the email address (or that person's parent/guardian) from which that entry was submitted. APN takes no responsibility for disputes resulting from entries submitted using an email address belonging to any other person.

19. Entries become the property of APN and APN may disclose all personal information relating to the entries to Intrepid Travel and/or Singapore Airlines. In accordance with the Privacy Act 1993, APN collects personal information and APN, Intrepid Travel and Singapore Airlines hold personal information to conduct the promotion, notify prize winners, verify prize winners' identities and may be used for APN and/or Intrepid Travel and/or Singapore Airlines future promotional activities, including (where consented to) sending the entrant emails. Individuals have rights to access and request correction of their personal information held by APN , Intrepid Travel and Singapore Airlines by calling 0800 100 888 (APN), 0800 600 610 (Intrepid Travel) and 0800 808 909 (Singapore Airlines). Failure to provide all requested personal information may result in the entry being invalid.

20. Each entrant agrees that, if he or she wins a prize, his or her details (including name, suburb/town, and photo) may be published in the Herald (print and/or online) and used for other publicity purposes.
