Save Three youths escaped injury after the stolen ute they were in crashed as they were fleeing police in Hastings early today, police say.
The police chase ended when the Nissan ute crashed as it tried to take a corner on Copeland Road, about 3.45am.
The vehicle was carrying false number
plates and had been stolen several days earlier, police said.
Three youths in the car were not injured and were assisting police with their inquiries.
Charges relating to dangerous driving and theft of the ute were expected to follow, police said.
