Organisers of The Jackson St Project are looking for more films to show at the event next month to complement the high calibre of work already received.
The event aims to showcase work by budding Wairarapa film makers by projecting footage against the side of the Regent 3 Cinema, andthere will also be light shows and live entertainment.
Masterton District Council has contributed $25,000 of its $110,000 events budget to the project.
Co-organiser Mena Antonio said they were looking for more content to show at the event such as film or video clips of anything relating to people's own experiences of Wairarapa.
"We are in the process of collating and editing all local submissions and so far have been hugely impressed with what has come our way," she said.
"Combined with the visual effects that will be delivered by Spyglass and the high-calibre musical content that'll open proceedings we're confident that the Jackson Street Project will be an extraordinary night to remember."
The free event will be held on December 14 from 6pm in Jackson St, Masterton.
