Christmas parties are causing concern for police, who have nabbed 15 drink drivers in an operation on State Highway one at Tawa, north of Wellington.
Four drivers are facing traffic charges, while another four have been charged with stealing a vehicle.
Sergeant Bud Butler says he is worried
about the number of people found drink driving, especially since many had been at Christmas functions.
He says motorists can expect drink-drive blitzes between now and Christmas.
