A woman was so terrified of a wasp she jumped out of her car and watched it roll into the sea.
The Auckland woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, made a beeline for the door on January 3 around 11.30am when the insect entered the car through the window andfluttered into her face. As she jumped out she neglected to put the car into park and it rolled into Manu Bay at Raglan.
There it slowly sank until it was fully submerged.
"It came in the window and freaked me out," she told the Herald.

A police spokeswoman said they were called at 11:49am when a car ended up in the water. The woman got out of the car but her car became submerged in the water and was later towed out.
She said the report stated that a bee flew into the woman's face.
A man on a surfboard attached a tether to the submerged car and it was pulled to shore.
