An 18-year-old woman who failed to help Christchurch teenager Hayden Miles on the night he died has avoided jail.
Nicolette Vaux-Phillips had name suppression lifted at the High Court in Christchurch today when she was sentenced to one year's home detention.
She had earlier admitted a charge of being an
accessory after the fact to culpable homicide.
Gavin Gosnell, 27, has been charged with the murder of 15-year-old Hayden in August last year and will stand trial later this year
