A woman who died in a head-on collision in the Manawatu Gorge yesterday has been named by police.
Mavis Anna McLean, 78, of Woodville, died after being rushed to hospital with serious injuries following the crash yesterday afternoon, police said.
The two-vehicle crash happened at the Woodville end of the
Manawatu Gorge around 12.50pm.
Two people were taken to Palmerston North Hospital with serious injuries.
Ms McLean later died of her injuries, police said.
