Firefighters are attempting to winch out a woman who has become stuck between rocks at a Northland beach.
Emergency services were called at 6.39pm after reports the woman had slipped, fallen and become wedged between two rocks at Motutara Point, Whananaki, a police spokeswoman said.
A Fire Service spokeswoman said
firefighters were with the woman and were attempting to winch her out.
A rescue helicopter had been dispatched from Whangarei.
Communication to the area was difficult so further details were not immediately available.
