A woman charged after a Rotorua knife attack which left another woman in hospital is set to appear in court tomorrow.
Rotorua police area commander Inspector Bruce Horne said the 21-year-old accused was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm following what appeared to be an alcohol-fuelled fight in Rotorua on Saturday night.
He said she remained in police custody and would appear in Rotorua District Court tomorrow.
The stabbing happened at a home in the suburb of Fordlands, Mr Horne said.
He said the victim, who was known to her alleged attacker, was admitted to Rotorua Hospital.
Her wounds were not considered life-threatening.
