Woman suffers suspected spinal injuries in crash

A 20-year-old woman has suffered suspected spinal injuries after her car went off the road near Taupo according to a Greenlea Rescue Helicopter press statement.

The accident happened on Western Bay Rd on the western side of Lake Taupo yesterday.

The Greenlea Rescue Helicopter flew the woman to Rotorua Hospital.

On the return flight from Rotorua the rescue helicopter was sent to a motorbike crash east of Tokoroa where a man in his sixties was taken to Rotorua Hospital with leg injuries.
